Matt is the architect behind Altrincham Forward, the task force credited with turning Altrincham from a “ghost town” into a national high street success story.
A Fellow of the Institute of Place Management, Matt served as Executive Director of the government’s High Streets Task Force, which ran from 2019 to 2024 and was managed by IPM, and was one of its appointed Experts.
Matt brings high-level political leadership experience from his former roles as Leader of Trafford Council, Vice Chair of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, and Chair of Transport for Greater Manchester.
His background also includes senior roles in the commercial sector, giving him a unique ability to bridge public and private priorities.
